A publication containing original photographs of the Art Car Museum located in Houston, Texas. The book explains the history of the museum and the art car movement. All art cars are subversive and have in common the transformation of a factory- made commodity into a personal statement.

HOTEL ST.CECILIA

REBRANDING

BRAND COLLATERAL

Hotel Saint Cecilia is a secluded estate in Austin’s South Congress district, it is named in honor of the patron saint of music and poetry.  The rebranding took inspiration from the hotel’s unique landscape, tailored eclectic décor and ambiance. A new logo was designed to combine the bold and unique look of the hotel.

The brand collateral consists of a wine list, artisan chocolate packaging, and a prayer candle. The wine list incorporates textures and details from the bar and lounge at the hotel. The chocolate is local and made exclusively for hotel Saint Cecilia. The prayer candle is also handmade exclusively for the hotel, featuring imagery of Saint Cecilia herself.

GRAPHIC STANDARDS MANUAL

BRAND COLLATERAL

A logo design and graphic standards manual for ALLCITY located in New York City. The graphic standards manual included brand principles and commitments, logo reproduction and sizing, as well as the incorrect logo uses. Brand collateral and various brand applications were also produced. Brand collateral for ALLCITY include a business card, letterhead and envelope.

THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY

A publication focusing on the good, the bad, and the ugly of packaging design. Men’s deodorants were used as inspiration; the history, as well as interesting facts about antiperspirants have also been included within the publication. Vintage cartoons and advertisements were used as a source of inspiration for each of the representative characters.

NIKE 2010 ANNUAL REPORT

An annual report for Nike Incorporated, which focuses on the company’s running shoe technology from past, current and future designs. Vintage photography and modern illustrations were layered to create the “new-retro” esthetic that Nike implemented in their running shoes for the 2010 collection, this was achieved by combining classic silhouettes with modern technology. The company’s history and year in review were also included in the annual report.

A publication focusing on communist beliefs and ideologies as well as various form of communism. The exact definition of communism varies, and it is often mistakenly used interchangeably with socialism; this book covers the origins of communism as well as its growth.

THE BISHOP’S WIFE

PROMOTIONAL POSTER

MOVIE COLLATERAL

A non-traditional movie poster for the 1947 film The Bishop’s Wife. A bishop prays for guidance as he tries to get a new cathedral built for his congregation, yet he becomes distracted by the arrival of an angel who has a different lesson to teach.

Movie collateral consisting of soundtrack packaging and promotional pieces were included in with the movie poster. The soundtrack is set in a vinyl format and packaging as if it were produced during the movie’s time period.  A beanie depicting concepts from the movie poster is also included. A Christmas tree ornament representing the angel ties in the Christmas theme of the movie. The promotional pieces are all housed within a film reel, also inspired by the time period of the movie.
